The complications created by patterns of reduplication are an integral part of the vocabulary of Old Armenian and were widely used in translation books of the Bible. There are a number of reduplications in the Holy Book formed by independent roots, which with a certain frequency were also used in the bibliographical monuments of the fifth century.
The study shows that analytical reduplications have different patterns: аnalytical constructions with the reduplication of simple roots are found, as well as repetitions formed by prepositions, such as: արագ արագ, մանր մանր, դաս դաս, յոյժ յոյժ, երկու երկու, եւթն եւթն և խառն ի խուռն, դէմ առ դէմ, լու ի լու etc. On the other hand, joint reduplications are also found in expressions involving articles: շեղջս շեղջս, գունդս գունդս, etc.
The study has been carried out by synchronous research within the historical-comparative method.
