Abstract

The article reviews modern approaches in English Language Teaching (ELT): Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT), and Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). It presents the definition, analysis and evaluation of the teaching/ learning process and the factors determining its success: students’ needs, motivation, learning style, and type of intelligence as well as teachers’ competences.
