The article reflects the close relationship between language and law and their interrelation. That interrelation is seen as a system in which language is the most important tool for expressing law, and the use of language is crucial to any legal system. The modernity of the topic is substantiated, and the problems we may face if we do not consider the role and importance of language in the field of law are pointed out.
The problems arising at the intersections of language and law have long interested a number of scholars, both linguists and lawyers. Therefore, the article considers formulations of different linguists and lawyers on the subject.
The article also proposes to create a new subject, which will be called ''Legal Linguistics'', within which students of the Department of Law will deeply study the basics of legal linguistics and legal terms.
