Abstract

Small and medium-sized enterprises have a fundamental role in stabilizing the country's economy and shaping many business cultures. Being more flexible and adaptable, they perceive and use new technologies and formats very quickly, as a result of which they have more in-depth knowledge of global trends.

SMEs create a large labor market and offer diverse jobs, often for professionals practicing variety of different skills and knowledge, and rapidly fill in gaps in business that would be costly or not as profitable for large organizations.

SMEs are also characterized by a more warm and friendly attitude towards employees, which results in much closer relationships between management and team members, which, in its turn, contributes to a more caring attitude towards the product or service developed by that SME.

Given the increase in the number of SMEs in Armenia and the payments made

by them to the state budget, one can give a positive opinion about the stable basis for

SME development in Armenia.
