Abstract

This article discusses the interest of many organizations in qualified and competitive legal professionals. In this regard, an urgent task for the higher education system is to teach foreign-language legal discourse to future lawyers. It also addresses methods for developing discursive competence based on various genres of legal documents. The article notes that traditional teaching methods do not provide the necessary level of proficiency in Russian as the language of the specialty, which hinders the personal growth of students and slows the formation of key competencies. In such conditions, the development of skills and abilities in discursive competence becomes especially important. The article presents the structure of legal documents based on linguistic and grammatical material, highlights the distinctive features of the official style, and pays attention to phenomena such as performativity and intertextuality.

Additionally, the importance of using authentic documents and videos in the learning process is emphasized, as is the importance of referring to the texts of the Constitution and laws. Emphasis is also placed on the fact that in the culture of communication, discursive competence manifests in the ability to plan and manage discourse to achieve a communicative impact on the addressee.
