Abstract

Within the framework of abundant linguistic studies the analyses of separate categories of literaly text has always been up-to-date and worth for studying. Supposedly, the study of the text title is of utmost importance inasmuch as it becomes one of the essential elements of the text. The article intends to represent “title-text” correlation in the context of lexical stylistic devices. The lexical means are posited to be supportive for the interpretation of title-text correlation. The results of the study are represnetd by the literary works of P. Sevak, S. Fitzgerald, S. Maugham and E. Hemingway.   The mentioned correlation expressed by lexical means is represented as an illustration of author’s subjective attitude. In all the analyzed texts lexical means play a crucial role, therefore.
